Maroon 5, the American rock band from Los Angeles, will be playing at the Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo on Tuesday 28th December, 2010. The band has released several albums, with their newest one, Hands All Over, being released on September 21, 2010. They have sold 15 million albums worldwide. On Friday 10th December, many museums around the country will be offering free admission from 9am to 12 midnight. Participating museums have prepared all day-long special programs for the long day-night. This event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the following museums are participating::
Santo Domingo – Alcazar, Casas Reales, Museum of Dominican Family 19th Century, Santo Domingo Fort, Naval Museum of the Atarazanas, Trampolin Children’s Museum, Casa Duarte Museum, Museum of Dominican Man, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Dominican Music, National History Museum, Columbus Lighthouse, Bellapart Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Drawing (Arawak).
